The Board of Directors of the Ramona
Food & Clothes Closet hereby enacts this Affirmative Action
Policy. The Directors find that this policy does not alter the
practices and procedures of the Ramona Food & Clothes Closet, which
have always complied with the general precept of affirmative action and
non-discrimination. Rather, this policy is intended to formalize,
in writing, the policy and procedures of the Ramona Food & Clothes
Closet with respect to affirmative action.
The Board of Directors hereby ratifies
and confirms the last paragraph of Section 4.01 of the Bylaws,
concerning admission to membership of the Ramona Food & Clothes
Closet. That paragraph states, verbatim:
"In no event shall the corporation or
its Directors unlawfully restrict membership, services, or benefits
conferred by this corporation on the basis of race, religious creed,
color, national origin, ancestry, sex, marital status, disability,
political affiliation, or age.”
Additionally, it is resolved that in
no event shall the RAMONA FOOD & CLOTHES CLOSET or its officers,
directors or members allow such factors as race, religious creed,
color, national origin, ancestry, gender, marital status, disability,
political affiliation, or age to unlawfully have any bearing upon the
recruitment, hiring, training and promotion of persons in all job
classifications at the RAMONA FOOD & CLOTHES CLOSET, nor in the
recruitment, training and use of persons as volunteers.
